10 Best Isekai Anime To Watch in 2023

The Isekai genre has become quite popular in recent years. Overpowered MCs, Fan Service, and Jaw-Dropping action, all these things make Isekai anime a must-watch. However, fans are getting kinda bored of with these things. They want something new. 

2022 was a good year for Isekai Fans as we witnessed some UNIQUE anime including Isekai Ojiisan, Beast Tamer, and Eminence of Shadow. On this list, we’ll be looking at some of the Isekai anime that will be released in 2023. Without any further ado, let’s begin. 

Farming in Another Life

Release Date: Winter 2023

Farming in Another Life is the first anime on this list. It follows the story of a teenager named Hiraku Machio. Machio’s life on Earth was not quite enjoyable as he died due to an illness. However, like other Isekai protagonists, he was given another opportunity.

He was also granted some wishes including a healthy body and being reborn as a farmer. There is not much to the plot besides this. And ofc he has a HAREM!! Zero-G is an animation studio that is well-known for the adaptation of underrated shows. 

Handy Man Saitou

Release Date: January 8th, 2023

Next up on this list is Handy Man Saitou in Another World. Do you know what makes any Isekai instantly popular? I guess I’ll have to answer this question myself, UNIQUENESS! 

If the MC is slightly different from your typical Isekai Protags, the anime becomes a HIT! The plot of this anime revolves around an ordinary Handyman named Saitou who gets reincarnated into another world. Soon, he realizes that his Handyman skills are much more important than he thinks. He does not get instantly overpowered but, he gains abilities one by one which I believe is pretty awesome. 

Saving 80,000 Gold In Another World For My Retirement

Release Date: January 7th, 2023

Isekai Anime usually have really LONG titles and this one is a perfect example of that. This anime follows the story of a teenager who possesses the unique ability to travel between the Isekai and Earth. 

Utilizing this ability, she starts making money by selling Artifacts from her world in the Isekai. Her ultimate goal is to save 80,000 Gold. Interesting, right?

Campfire Cooking In Another World With My Absurd Skill

Release Date: January 10th, 2023

Another LONG title! At this point, I don’t even know how authors come up with these titles. This anime is pretty unique in my opinion. How often do you see Isekai Protagonists who were summoned as heroes being abandoned, not often, right? 

Something similar happened with Tsuyoshi Mukouda, who accidentally got summoned and was abandoned later on. Stuck in the Isekai, he decided to survive by ordering stuff from AMAZON!!! Pretty unique, right? Being animated by MAPPA, this anime is a must-watch in my opinion.

I Got A Cheat Skill In Another World And Became Unrivalled In The Real World, Too

Release Date: April 2023

Ughhh! I don’t even want to say anything. The premise of this show is quite similar to Saving 80,000 Gold In Another World as the protagonist can also travel between Earth and the Isekai. 

The only difference is that the MC, Yuuya, doesn’t want to save 80,000 Gold for his retirement. The anime focuses mainly on Yuuya’s character development as his childhood was full of trauma and bullying. 

The Aristocrat’s Otherworldy Adventure: Serving Gods Who Go Too Far

Release Date: March 2023

Aristocrat’s Otherworldy adventure is your TYPICAL ISEKAI! The plot revolves around a teenager who gets reincarnated as the son of a noble and ofc he is OP as hell. 

As I already said, people are getting bored of TYPICAL stories like this one. However, they can still be enjoyable if you are looking for something fun to watch. 

The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up At Duke’s Mansion

Release Date: April 2023

This one is SPECIAL! People are already calling it the best Isekai of 2023 because the Light Novel is soooo good. 

The anime revolves around a girl named Eunha who got reincarnated as a side character in another world. The interesting thing here is that she already knows what’ll happen and she can change her FATE. Being reborn as Raeliana, Eunhu tried her very best to survive in this new ruthless world. 

Will she be able to survive? I guess we have to wait to find the answer.

Dead Mount Death Play

Release Date: April 2023

Finally an anime with a SHORT TITLE!!! And it is pretty unique as well because it is a reverse Isekai meaning that the protagonist is from another world who got reincarnated on Earth. We haven’t seen many Isekai like this. 

The MC was a Corpse God who lost the battle against the Hero. He somehow managed to cast a reincarnated spell and was reborn in the body of a teenage boy on Earth. Well! He still has his magic powers but they are pretty weak. Will he be able to survive as a human on Earth with all the technology and everything?

The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess To Saviour

Release Date: July 2023

If you’re a fan of My Next Life as a Villainess or I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss, then you’ll LOVE this anime. The premise revolves around a ruthless ruler named Prince Pride. As you can already see from her name, she has IMMENSE PRIDE and treats everyone like trash. 

However, one day, she suddenly realized that she is not ordinary. She actually got reincarnated from Earth some years ago. This totally changed her perspective and her personality took a 360 degree turn.

Lemme ask you a question first, DO YOU LOVE SWEETS? If yess! Then anime is for you. Sweet Reincarnation follows the story of a Pastry chef who dies before realizing his dream. But, guess what? He got reincarnated as the son of a Noble and can realize his dream in the FANTASY WORLD!!
